My pictures from the current Opera series show characters full of character in the form of chickens, which imaginatively reflect our all-too-human characteristics as real types. Paintings with recognition value, a mixture of colorful opulence, felt movement and intentionally ironic birds looking out that interact with the viewer. Why the Opera series? The opera reflects ourselves in stories, just as we all play our roles in our real lives, more or less well, but having character and showing it with confidence inspires me. It is their snapshots that I try to capture in my pictures.
